| Biography |
Evan’s creativity and unique approach to the arts emerged early
in his life. While other children his age were playing with blocks and
action figures, Evan built castles from canned goods and conspired with
imaginary friends. While his peers listened to music recorded by others,
Evan created his own using a variety of traditional instruments, synthesizers
and computers. As his friends enjoyed a movie and then moved on to the
next one, Evan studied and internalized each flick, adding the dialogue,
characters and nuances to his internal library, keeping them safe until
he needed them to better explain a point of view or augment a creative
endeavor. Even in grade school, Evan’s approach to "every
day" was considered "artistic", "creative"
and "unique".
That is not surprising since Evan was born into a family where creativity
was not only encouraged, it was expected. As a result, the environment
in which Evan grew up exposed him to music, performance art, journalism,
fine arts and graphic arts.
In High School, Evan recognized that the traditional education system
did not offer him the creative outlet he desired and needed. As a result,
he enrolled himself in the Art and Printing program at Scarlet Oaks
where he fortified his creativity with the staples of art and design.
His positive experience in this program opened his mind to the potential
of pursuing a career in Graphic Design.
During Evan’s enrollment at Cincinnati State, his technical skills
developed significantly and his in-born artistry was directed quite
productively. He learned to use his skills and creativity in harmony
to create for numerous school projects and real world clients. In addition,
Evan has designed and provided final printing proofs for a number of
album covers and has also independently and collaboratively created
and maintained websites for various clients.
With one degree already under his belt, Evan is currently enrolled in
the Graphic Design program at Northern Kentucky University. He is looking
forward to further establishing himself in the art and advertising community.
For Evan, art and design is not just a profession to which he aspires,
it is truly a part of who he is and who he has always been.
